Granite Industries is setting the stage for a brilliant 2015 ARA SHOW!

What’s new this year?

Granite Industries lives by the motto “Continual Innovation”. Never content to sit back and rest, we are always striving to develop new products and improve old ones. 2014 was no different as we introduced new hand carts, electric carts and adjustable walkboards. Old carts were updated and improved as can be seen with our Dual Chiavari Chair Cart (released at the show). We hope you notice a refreshed booth look this year and that brings out our commitment to excellence.

American Cart & Overland Cart Distinctions
Granite Industries makes a variety of products across many different industries. In an effort to minimize confusion and maximize marketing efforts we have separated American Cart and Overland Electric Carts.

American Cart and Equipment

American Cart hand trucks are manufactured by Granite Industries at the Ohio Plant. American Cart covers all the manual carts and hand trucks under the Granite brand. In short, this is our manual material handling division.

Overland Electric Carts

Overland electric carts and wheelbarrows are also manufactured by Granite Industries at the Ohio Plant. Overland covers all electric power train carts under the Granite Brand. In short, this is our motorized material handling division.

American Cart Manual Hand Carts

The right tool for the job is a mantra that has been around for quite a while but still rings true. Overland Electric Carts and Wheelbarrows

Overland Electric Wheelbarrows are built to make any job more efficient. Save time, labor and cash with the well built and tested Overland Cart. The weight capacity of 750 pounds offers nearly unlimited options. The 10 cubic foot hopper is double that of a standard wheelbarrow. The electric drive train features a US made differential and electric motor. The chassis is engineered and manufactured in the US from top quality steel. No oil changes, air filter changes, or bearings to grease. Minimal maintenance, maximum productivity.

Granite Scaffolding

Scaffolding is a core product of Granite Industries. Over 40 years of experience in the scaffolding industry goes into each frame. Most scaffolding is designed, manufactured and powder coated in house. The result is a long lasting frame that is built with innovative safety features. The spring loaded walk board security system is a patented Granite feature. The Snappy Utility Scaffold features a patented spring loaded G-pin for quick and safe adjustments. Granite also offers completely custom scaffold packages.

Granite Bleachers

Granite offers a variety of bleachers for almost any event. The basic Signature Bleachers offer the stability of a steel frame with the finish of aluminum seatboards and footboards. Stepping up from the basic signature line is the Deluxe Series, featuring double walkboards and guardrails. For portable seating options we off the exclusive Fold-N-Tow Bleacher System.

Granite Staging

Granite staging is based around the core Signature Steel Stage. Developed by Granite, this staging features a steel deck frame, plywood top and steel legs. The steel frame is powder coated. The steel legs are galvanized. As the demand for aluminum staging has increased, Granite developed the AXIS aluminum stage system, which uses aluminum framed platforms and steel legs.

Adjustable Work Planks

Granite adjustable work planks provide the ultimate in versatility. Available in the lengths: 6’-9’, 8-13’, 10’-16’, there is always the perfect length for the job. Constructed from aircraft grade aluminum, these walk boards are lightweight, strong, and durable. Stretch from ladder to ladder or scaffold to scaffold. Snappy and Indy Utility Scaffolding!

Granite Utility Scaffolding is a core product of Granite Industries. Developed by engineers that have been in the industry for over 40 years, this scaffolding is well designed and loaded with features. Granite offers a variety of scaffolding based on needs and requirements.

Snappy Utility Scaffolding
The Snappy SP-6 scaffold is the premier utility scaffold on the market. Engineered and manufactured with top quality care and components, this scaffolding is built to last. The Snappy is set apart by its “Snappy” operation. A spring loaded G-Pin allows for quick, yet safe adjustments.

Indy Utility Scaffolding

Overland Electric Wheelbarrow for the Concrete Industry

Featured at the World of Concrete 2015 Show!

Overland electric wheelbarrows have been developed and improved since their introduction in 2009. Granite Industries started the Overland Carts brand out of a request for products with a higher capacity for moving large loads. Now in it’s third generation the carts have been well tested and are ready for commercial job site use.

Concrete Ready
Overland Carts work well in a variety of industries but especially the concrete industry. Capable of moving 750 pounds at the turn of a wrist, these carts are ready for a full load. We have tested these carts in the industry and been impressed with the results. In testing, an Overland electric wheelbarrow with a seven cubic foot hopper full of 480 pounds of concrete had no trouble moving or dumping the load. This cart is featured in the video below.

Concrete Specific Options
One of the keys to Overland’s success has been adapting to customers feedback. While at a trade show, a contractor discussed a new feature that would allow for controlled pours. We sent the idea to our engineer who developed an all electric power dump feature. Available for all bucket sizes, this feature allows for precise pours. A simple switch on the handles allows the cart to dump up to 750 lbs with ease. The feature can be used while the cart is moving to allow for a controlled pour over a specific area. Minimize raking as the concrete is poured exactly where you want it.

Jobsite ready 4WD
Overland offers a four wheel electric drive wheelbarrow for rougher terrain. Using two independent drive systems, this cart is more stable on muddy or unlevel ground. We have tested the cart carrying 500 lbs of salt up muddy hills and the cart barely breaks a sweat.

Clean up Concrete, Quickly
Overland searched for the best available bucket and ended up at the offices of Brentwood Industries. The industry leader in commercial grade wheelbarrow hoppers, Brentwood buckets are more than up to the task. Created from lightweight but durable UV test high-density polyethylene. Clean up is done in seconds as the concrete melts away from the hopper. Spend less time cleaning up and more time making money.

Take Concrete where it Needs to Go
Job sites don’t always allow for direct access for a cement mixer. There might be a narrow gap between the wall and house, or a gate that cannot be maneuvered around. The overland cart has a narrow 36″ width, capable of fitting through a standard doorway. For an even smaller footprint, consider the 7 cubic foot electric wheelbarrow with single ag tires. Just barely over 30″ wide, this cart still packs a punch as it can handle the full 750 lbs.

Built to Last
Overland electric wheelbarrows are designed in the USA, manufactured in the USA and assembled in the USA. The entire process is handled in house at our Ohio Plant by local workers. The frame is hand welded and powder coated using a world class powder coating machine. The electric motor, drivetrain, and controls are all manufactured by companies in the USA. We build this cart to last and to be your hardest worker.
